HETEROPIAS or
The students came a long way to visit us. The prospective architects are studying in Norweig. Led by Christof Mayer of raumlaborberlin they cope with the idea of "HETEROPIAS", the spaces of otherness. During their stay in Berlin they visit projects creating ambigous spaces and denying simple or clear definitions. They are looking for places offering space forthose who are already here and those who just arrive. Some of the projects they are visiting beside KUNSTASYL are "Cucula", „ÜberDenTellerrand“, "Refugio", "die Gärtnerei" und die „Schlesische 27“.
*Blaumann: Typical German working dress in a specific blue colour.
In search of "the otherness": Sudents of the Bergen Architecture School with Christof Mayer and Jan Liesegang from raumlabor Berlin
Inner Space: The KUNSTASYL-cathedral, in the foreground to the right: Berket, to the left: Christof Mayer
At the end, there are two questions by Dachil left: "Do I look like a refugee?" and "Why are all architects dressed in black, only Aymen wears a Blaumann?"
