"How to work a hat in rounds: cast on 88 stitches, knit a couple rows of ribbing (k2, p2 or k1, p1) - or skip those (after all, one needs to know how to purl stitches to do that …). Then, knit in stockinette for about 15 cm or until desired length.

Start decreasing for the hat's crown: the first round of decreases will be "k9 k2tog" (total sts: 80) - knit one more round - decrease again. This time it is "k8, k2tog" (total sts: 72) - knit one more round. Keep going until you have only 8 stitches left.

Cut your working yarn so that you have a fairly long “tail” about 6 inches long. Grab a blunt needle and pull your yarn through the stitches. Go in the order that you would have knit the stitches."

If ever this is too complicated for you, you are cordially invited to join our knitting group on Tuesdays between 2 and 4 pm. There's knitting, talking and laughter.
If you do not have the time to join us, but nonetheless you'd love to stroll in glamour through the cold season you can have your hat with knitted-in KunstAsyl logo custom made. Please specify head circumference and preferred color.
We'll deliver before it starts to snow.
Please send your order to daheim@kunstasyl.com
