THE KINGS - Royal Reception at MEK | "Who am I"
Who am I!
"I am the unimaginable. I am Europe. However, I am not.
I am a human being. Who am I!
I am the hero. The heroine.
I don’t know who I am, but certainly I am.
After escaping from Iraq, the artist in my head or heart came into being.
Everyone has the possibility to become an artist, a doctor, anything.
You can only be king or queen through family. It is not your own decision. Escaping is a decision, but in contrast to royal heritage, one falls to the ground whereas a king is high up.”
Words of welcome by Dachil, greeting all attendees at the royal reception at the Museum Europäischer Kulturen. The event marked the beginning of the formation of an interdisciplinary performance, which will be staged at the MEK on July 1st.
