Glances into Fugitive Lives - The grand Opening

On 4th March 2016 people who recently had to flee their countries took over rooms in the Museum Europäischer Kulturen.

They inscribed their memories of home they had left and their strenuous flight on the walls. Installations of bed frames recall the lost homeland (daHEIM): these are glances into fugitive lives. Biographies from the 19th and 20th centuries show that there has always been immigration due to flight – that people, leave, flee, arrive, stay. And have dreams.
